Just like in life, it takes a couple L’s to really understand how to consistently get a W! So buyers? Don’t get discouraged by an offer that didn’t get accepted. It’s likely you just weren’t ready to jump on the ground for a loose ball just yet. Next time? Next time I know you will because that one thing is likely the difference. The game changer. - Be ready to go over list price (the list price is the floor, not the ceiling)
- Include a quick inspection timeline
- Go in knowing the seller holds the cards and you’re just asking for a seat at the table (not to run the game)
- Be efficient in your decisions (just because their is an offer review doesn’t mean the sellers agent will uphold it). You don’t have two nights or heck even one night to sleep on it. If you do, it’s likely someone else didn’t.
- Don’t despair and be ready to compromise. I know I know, easy for me to say right? I own my dream home (lots of sarcasm y’all!). As many of you know we have horses and guess what? We knew we couldn’t afford a property with land so we got something we could add value to and have pushed so we can be out within 5 years. Is it exhausting? Heck yes! Has it set us up for a better future? Also yes! Compromise now, put in the sweat equity, and enjoy those rewards later!
